One of the country’s foremost Abstract Expressionist painters, she paints in sequences, expressing through her work concerns involved with world peace and harmony. Though abstract her paintings carry a tangible narrative of powerful statements describing the on-going violence of our times.

She has a number of national awards to her credit and has travelled extensively representing Pakistan on several occasions. In Paris she lectured on the art of Pakistan; in Italy she was awarded an Honorary Diploma in Painting from the Academia Italia, and in China she introduced non-figurative painting in the medium of watercolour for the first time.
