Rahat Fateh Ali Khan es un músico paquistaní, principalmente de Qawwali, una música devocional de los sufíes musulmanes. Es sobrino de Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, hijo de Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan y también nieto del cantante de Qawwali Fateh Ali Khan. Además de Qawwali, también interpreta ghazals y otra música ligera. También es popular como cantante de reproducción en Bollywood y la industria cinematográfica de Pakistán.

Rahat actuó públicamente por primera vez, cuando tenía nueve años, en el aniversario de la muerte de su abuelo. Desde los quince, formó parte integral del conocido grupo qawwali de Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan y realizó una gira por el Reino Unido con su tío en 1985. También interpretó canciones en solitario en diferentes conciertos, además de cumplir con sus roles en el grupo Quawalli.

Debutó como cantante de reproducción en Bollywood con la película Paap (2003), en la canción "Mann Ki Lagan".

En abril de 2012, Rahat realizó una gira por el Reino Unido, actuando en Wembley Arena y Manchester Arena, tocando para una audiencia combinada de más de 20.000 personas y creando un récord de máxima venta de entradas.

La canción "Zaroori Tha" del álbum "Back 2 Love" (2014) se convirtió en el primer video musical original no cinematográfico del subcontinente indio en cruzar 100 millones de visitas después de dos años y 200 millones de visitas dentro de los tres años de su lanzamiento. También está de gira con Leo Twins de Nescafé Basement de forma regular.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani musician, primarily of Qawwali, a devotional music of the Muslim Sufis. He is the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and also grandson of Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan. In addition to Qawwali, he also performs ghazals and other light music. He is also popular as a playback singer in Bollywood and the Pakistan film industry.

Rahat performed publicly for the first time, when he was nine, at the death anniversary of his grandfather. Since he was fifteen, he was an integral part of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's well-known qawwali group and toured the UK with his uncle in 1985. He also performed solo songs at different concerts, in addition to fulfilling his roles in the Quawalli group.

He debuted as a playback singer in Bollywood with the movie Paap (2003), in the song "Mann Ki Lagan".

In April 2012 Rahat toured in the UK, performing at Wembley Arena and the Manchester Arena, playing to a combined audience of over 20,000 people and creating a record of maximum ticket-sales.
